Search Functions
When browsing the repository, there are four different methods of searching available to the user. Repository Search, Quick Search, Simple Search and Advanced Search. Users can also perform a simple full-text search within documents they are currently viewing.
Repository Search
One of the search functions available for Therefore™ Web Client is Repository Search. On any of the pages in the 'Repository', the user can search on the left hand side to narrow down the amount of folders in the tree-view.

Entering a term into the search field will narrow down the objects shown in the repository tree view to items with the search term.

Simple Search
The Simple Search allows the user to perform full-text searches within the documents saved in the current case or category.

This method will search for the desired term throughout the documents' index data by default. The user may click the arrow next to the search button to change this to an 'Extended Search', which will search for the term throughout the files contained within the documents.
Quick Search
The Quick Search allows the user to execute saved searches configured in the Therefore™ Navigator.
By default, the quick searches 'All Items' and 'Modified by me' are pre-configured for every category. For every case, the quick search 'All Items' is pre-configured. When executed, these searches display all documents in the category or case, or all documents modified by the user that is currently logged in respectively.

New searches are configured in the Therefore™ Navigator by selecting 'New Search' in the ribbon menu. For more information on how to configure a quick search please refer to the following reference page:
Advanced Search
The Advanced Search allows the user to perform index data searches, with specific forms of search functions available for different types of index data fields. This search method will allow the user to use additional search terms and functions to narrow down the results list with index data.
The user can add or remove index data fields to search through by clicking the buttons matching each Index Data field. The selected fields are highlighted in blue and listed below. Pressing a field that has been selected will de-select it.

Different types of Index Data will allow for different search operators to be used. The user can select which search operator to use by clicking on the drop down list on the left.

Document Search
Users can perform a simple full-text search within a document they are currently viewing . Click the Search icon to open the search bar.
Type in a search string and press the Enter key to start the search. Users can select to match the search term's case or to only search for entire words by checking the respective boxes. Checking or unchecking checkboxes re-starts the search.
If hits are found they are marked by a blue highlight. Use the up and down errors on the right side of the search bar to jump between hits. Hits that are in focus are marked in a darker color than hits that are not in focus.
