Therefore™ Capture Client

Paper documents are typically scanned in batches and the pages are ordered, grouped and assigned to a Therefore™ category automatically, or manually by the user. Document index data is either generated automatically (e.g. barcodes or OCR), or manually keyed in by the user.

The Therefore™ Capture Client allows for customized settings to be defined in a profile, which can automatically apply image enhancement settings, assign a category, capture index data via barcodes or OCR and split pages into separate documents. After scanning, all these properties can be manually adjusted.

In addition to the default scan engine which uses ISIS drivers, it is also possible to use 'Tungsten VirtualReScan' as the scanning engine.

Note:

For processing electronic documents, for example files scanned using an MFP device, it is recommended to save them as TIFF.
If the Therefore™ Capture Client is used in the indexing only Working Mode on some clients, for example in a group environment, then these clients do not need a Capture Client license, but a named or concurrent user license is required.
In the other two working modes no user license is required, but a Capture Client license is required.

Command Line

Command	Description
TheCapture	Open the application.
-exit	Close Capture Client when all documents are finished and watched folders are empty.
-folder "..."	Import only from the specified folder.
-importall	Import documents from all enabled watched folders.
