Therefore™ Portal Users

Right-clicking "Users" under the Therefore™ Portal node brings up a context menu.

New User
Opens a Therefore™ Portal Configuration dialog in which administrators can add a new Portal user, and define which searches, categories, and cases should be available to the user.

Search User
Opens a dialog to search for a specific user. Enter the desired string and click Find.

Show Disabled Users
By default the list does not show disabled users. By selecting this option disabled users will also be displayed.

General Tab

User name
The login name for the user.

Display Name
The name to be displayed for the user.

E-mail address
The e-mail address of the user. This is the address where the user will receive password reset requests.

Passkeys
Select the passkeys setting for the user from the drop-down menu between the following options: Inherited (adopts the system-wide setting), Disabled, Enabled, or Advertised, which lets the user know they can create a passkey on login.

Account is disabled
If this box is checked, the account will be created but not immediately activated.

User must change password at next login
If this box is checked, the user will need to change their password the next time they log in.

Force two-factor authentication (2FA)
Forces the user to setup the 2FA process for their account on their next login.

Search Tab
In this tab, select which searches should be available for this portal user and if necessary, provide user-specific conditions.

Category/Case Definition
The category or case definition of the search.

Search ID
The unique ID number of the search.

Search Display Name
The name of the search. This is the name the user will see when logging in to the Therefore™ Portal.

Conditions
The condition used to restrict which documents the user may view in the category or case definition. For example, this can be set to a specific customer ID to let the user view only their own documents.

These conditions must be set correctly in order to restrict the types of documents each user is allowed to view. If these conditions are not set properly, a user may be able to view other users' documents or unauthorized confidential information.

Upload Tab
In this tab, select which categories the user is allowed to save documents to. Additionally, it is possible to set user-specific pre-filled values for index data fields.

Category/Case Definition
The category or case definition you want to make available. Assigned users will be able to upload documents to this category or case definition.

Value
A default value for a specific field displayed to the user.

Therefore™ Portal Users List

When the Users node is selected in the Therefore™ Solution Designer, a list of the existing Portal users will be displayed. Right-clicking any user will bring up a context menu.

Open Portal User for Copy
Opens the dialog for creating a new user with the same selected searches. Search conditions, however, are not copied.

Reset Password
The Set Password dialog from user creation is opened and the password can be changed.

Disable User / Enable User
Selecting this disables or enables the user depending on their current state. Disabled users are only visible if that is enabled by right-clicking the background in the list of users and selecting the option 'Show Disabled Users'.

Delete All Login Tokens
Deletes all login tokens for the user if they have selected automatic login. The user will need to re-enter their credentials at the next attempted login.

Properties
Opens the User Properties dialog mentioned above.
