Document
A Therefore™ document can contain multiple files. Selecting a document to view in the repository, whether belonging to a case or a category, will display a screen like below:
The user may drag and drop files to the "Add file" button, or click it to browse their local directory for files to upload in addition to any current files in the document.
The thumbnails on the left side show previews of the files contained in the document. Users can drag and drop the thumbnails to re-order the files in the document.
On the right side of the screen the user will see an action menu. View the Action Menu section for more information:
Supported File Formats
Files saved to the Therefore™ Web Client are displayed via GroupDocs.

When adding documents to a category index data field values need to be filled in. These fields are configured by an administrator in the Therefore™ Solution Designer while creating a new category or case definition. Please find additional information about index data field types below.

Default Values |
To save time while filling in index data, index data fields can be configured to have a default value that is automatically retrieved when a new file saved to Therefore™. Currently, the following defaults are supported in the Therefore™ Web Client: <File Extension> : Retrieves the extension of the file being saved. <File Name> : Retrieves the file name of the file being saved, including the extension <File Path> : Retrieves the location of the file being saved on the user's computer. <File Title> : Retrieves the file name of the file being saved, excluding the extension. |

Keyword Field | Keyword fields can be filled in by selecting keywords from a drop-down menu. They are created by an administrator by creating a keyword dictionary in the Therefore™ Solution Designer. Users with sufficient permissions can add new keywords to these dictionaries while editing index data in the Therefore™ Web Client. | |
Mandatory Fields | These are index data fields that the user has to fill out when adding a new document. They are marked by a red asterisk in the Therefore™ Web Client. Fields can be set to mandatory by opening the category in the Therefore™ Solution Designer, right-clicking on the field in question, selecting 'Properties' and checking the 'Mandatory' checkbox. |
