E-mail Notifications
E-mail notifications can be customized in the 'E-mail Notifications' tab while creating a new workflow process. Administrators can review the configurations at any time by selecting the workflow, right-clicking on the whitespace next to the graphic representation of the workflow process, and selecting 'Process Properties'. Specific notifications can also be specified by right-clicking on a manual task and selecting 'Properties'.
The following types of workflow e-mails can be customized.
Notification e-mail:
Notification e-mails are sent when a workflow instance is assigned to a user. They are automatically sent to the user to whom the workflow is assigned. In addition, other persons can be added via CC.
Overdue e-mail:
Overdue e-mails are sent when a workflow instance was not processed in the time frame specified in the 'Process Definition' tab. Because there is no default recipient for overdue e-mails, the recipients need to be specified.
Delegate e-mail:
Delegate e-mails are sent when a user chooses the 'Delegate' action on the workflow task dialog. The sender address is the e-mail address of the user delegating the task. The main recipient's address added at runtime but users that should be in cc for these e-mails can be specified in this dialog.
Edit
Opens the e-mail setup dialog for any of the previously described e-mail types.
