Working with Workflow Instances

Manual workflow tasks can be assigned to a specific user, in which case they are generally notified by e-mail that action on a new workflow task is required. Alternatively, workflow tasks can be assigned to a group. After a member of the group claims a task, it is no longer visible to the rest of the group.

Claiming an open workflow instance

  1. Switch to the workflow inbox. Double-click on a specific workflow process to find its associated tasks. Alternatively, double-click on <All Processes> to find all workflow tasks assigned to the current user and their groups. To claim an open workflow task, or open an already assigned task, double-click on the workflow task in the hit-list.

  2. The workflow task will be opened for processing in the Therefore™ Viewer.

Delegating workflow instances

  1. Find and select the workflow instance to delegate. Right-click to open the context menu and select 'Delegate', or select 'Delegate' from the Workflow tab of the ribbon menu.

  2. Choose the user to delegate to from the list and click OK.
