Home Tab

The Home tab contains the ribbon menu associated with Repository and Favorites actions. The ribbon menu can be customized. It includes the following options by default:

Favorites Options

Add Item to Favorites Icon

Add Item

Add the selected item to your Favorites list.

Remove Item Icon

Remove Item

Removes a selected item from the Favorites list.

Move Up Icon

Move Down Icon

Move Up / Move Down

Change the order of items in the Favorites list.

Search Options

Search Icon

New Search

Selecting the icon opens a dialog to configure a new category search. Use the dropdown menu to choose between configuring a category search or a cross category search.

Save Search Icon

Save Search

Saves the search including the hit-list layout, such as grouping, sorting and column order. Users with administrator permission can also overwrite the category's default search.

Full-Text Search Options

 

Quick-search

This search mask allows the user to carry out a full-text search by entering a search string. By default, every category that has full-text indexing enabled will be searched.

The checkboxes below the search mask are used to specify where the full-text search should look for the search string. Check 'Index Data' to search the document's index data and 'Document Content' to search inside the files added to the documents in this category.

At least one of the options must be checked in order for the search to be run successfully.

Advanced Search Icon

Advanced Search

Opens the Full-Text Search dialog containing advanced configuration options.

By default, stemming is active for full-text searches. It can be deactivated in this dialog by unchecking the option labeled 'Use Stemming'.

Hit-List Options

Refresh Hit-List Icon

Refresh Hit-List

Runs the last search that was performed in the current tab.

Search Hit-List Icon

Search Hit-List

Select this option to run a full text search on the hit-list.

Print Hit-List Icon

Print Hit-List

Opens a print dialog to configure printing the current hit-list.

Copy Hit-List Icon

Copy Hit-List

Copies the currently selected items from the hit-list to the clipboard.

Forms Option

New Form Icon

Forms

Lists the forms configured in Therefore™ eForms. Selecting a form opens it in a browser and lets the user enter data into the form.

Document and Case Options

View Icon

View

Opens the selected documents in the Therefore™ Viewer.

Index Data Icon

Index Data

Edit the index data of one or multiple documents.

Export Icon

Export

The selected document or documents can be exported to a file system. By clicking on the dropdown arrow the menu item is expanded to include a Send option which allows the documents to be sent via e-mail.

Share Icon

Share

Share the selected document via a link.

Use the drop-down menu to select between the Sharing dialog that allows the configuration of a new link and the Manage Sharing dialog where shared links can be reviewed.

Links Icon

Links

Opens the Linked Objects dialog that lists objects the selected document is linked to.

Security Icon

Security

Opens the security dialog for setting permissions for the selected document or case.

History Icon

History

Displays the document history for the selected document.

Delete Item Icon

Delete

Deletes the selected document.

View Item Icon

View File

Opens the selected file for read-only viewing in the Therefore™ Viewer, or an associated program.

Edit File Icon

Edit File

Check out the selected file for editing in the associated program.

Check In Icon

Check In

Check the current document that is currently being edited back in as a new version.

Undo Check-Out Icon

Undo Check Out

Undo any changes to the current document. The current document version number is kept.

Print Icon

Print

Prints the selected documents by sending them directly to the default printer.

Workflow Options

New Task Icon

New Task

Opens the New Task dialog from where the user can create a new ad-hoc task and assign it to other users.

Start Workflow Icon

Start Workflow

Start a new workflow instance for the selected documents. By clicking the dropdown arrow a list of workflow processes linked to this category can be viewed.

Link to Workflow Icon

Link to

Opens a list of workflow instances assigned to the current user. The user can link the currently selected document or case to one of these instances.

Therefore™ Applications Options

In this section of the ribbon menu, other installed Therefore™ applications are listed.

Therefore™ Solution Designer Icon

Design

Opens the Therefore™ Solution Designer to configure the Therefore™ system.
