Context Menus

The UI consists of panes that can be moved, re-sized, minimized, or hidden. Right-clicking on objects in these panes opens a context menu.

Repository Pane

In the Repository pane all folders, categories, and case definitions are listed. A search can be started by double-clicking a category or case definition.

Saved Searches
If a category is selected, all available searches are listed under 'Saved Searches' in the lower pane. By default each category has one search called New Search. If any searches have been saved, they will also be listed.

Cross category searches can be displayed by selecting the folder in which they are saved.

Right-clicking on a specific case, category, or search opens a context menu.

All Context Menus

Common options for all context menus are listed in the following table. Not all options have their own icon.

Add Item to Favorites Icon

Add to Favorites / Remove from Favorites

Add or remove the selected item to or from your favorites list.

New Document Icon

Add New Document

Opens the 'Send to Therefore™ dialog where index data for the new document can be entered.

  New Document in Viewer

Launch the Therefore™ Viewer to create a new document.

Search Icon

New Search
Opens an empty search template that can be configured and saved.

Full-Text Search Icon

Full-Text Search
Opens a full-text search dialog filtered down to the case that is currently in focus.

  Make Available Offline

If the Therefore™ Anywhere feature is installed documents can be taken offline.

Security Icon Security

Opens the Role-based access control configuration for the Therefore™ object.

Case Context Menu

The Case context menu contains the following unique options.

New Case Icon

New Case

Opens the case header dialog for creating a new case.

 

New Case in Case Manager

Opens the 'Send to Therefore™ dialog where index data for the new document can be entered.

Search Context Menu

The Search context menu contains the following unique options.

Search Icon

Open

Opens a search dialog for the category or case that is currently in focus.

 

Open Last

Loads the index values used in the last time this search was used.

  Execute

Runs the selected search.

  Rename

Rename the saved search. Note: this can only be done when this search is not active.

  Delete

Delete the saved search.

Folder Context Menu

The Folder context menu contains the following unique option.

 

Full-text search

Opens a dialog to configure the full-text search for categories under this folder.

Workflow Processes Pane

The Workflow Inbox displays the processes for which the current user has relevant permissions. Double-clicking on a workflow process displays all current instances of the process assigned to the current user or the user's group. Who the task is assigned to can be seen in the 'Assigned to' column.

A list of all instances is displayed by double-clicking on <All Processes>.

The Process context menu contains the following unique options:

Show All Instance Icon

Show All

Displays all workflow instances for the process that is currently in focus. Only instances the user has the necessary permissions to interact with are displayed.

 

Show All Running

Displays all currently running workflow instances.

 

Show All Overdue

Displays all workflow instances that have not been processed within the configured timeframe. Found instances are displayed in red.

 

Show All Finished

Displays all workflow instances that have already been processed.

 

Show All Error

Displays all workflow instances that encountered an error during an automated task.

Show Statistics Icon

Show Statistics

Displays the Process Statistics dialog for this workflow process in which the user can review the number of instances at each task.

Favorites Pane

Each user can save Therefore™ objects as favorites. These favorites are displayed in this pane.

The following items can be added to favorites: categories, searches, documents, and workflows. In addition, folders can be created to logically order objects. This creates an efficient and easy to navigate workplace. All objects can also be renamed as desired, as well as re-ordered to suit via drag and drop.

The Favorites context menu contains the following unique options. Depending on the type of object, further menu items will be displayed. See each object's respective section for more details about their repository or hit-list context menu.

Remove from Favorites Icon

Remove from Favorites

Opens a search dialog for the category or case that is currently in focus.

 

Rename

Rename the object. This name will not affect the original name in Therefore™.

Change the order of items in the favorites list.

Hit-list Pane

This pane displays hit-lists for documents and workflows. Hit-lists are ordered into columns with category index data fields as the column header.

The hit-list can be searched, sorted, grouped, printed, and index field columns can be re-ordered. In addition, new Search tabs can be added which enable working with multiple hit-lists simultaneously.

The hit-list can be dynamically filtered by typing into the Search hit-list box. The field order can be changed by dragging and dropping an index data field column to another position.

Search Tab Context Menu

A right-click on a Search tab opens a context menu from which a new tab can be opened, the opened tab or all other tabs can be closed, and the hit-list can be refreshed.

A right-click on one of the index data field columns opens a context menu with the following options:

Sort Ascending / Sort Descending

Sorts the list, by the selected column, in ascending or descending order. Sorting can also be done by a simple click on the field header. Multiple fields can be used for sorting by holding down the SHIFT key.

 

No Sort

Resets ascending or descending order.

 

Group by this field

The selected field is used to group the documents. The field is removed from the header and placed in a box above the hit-list. Clicking on the field changes from ascending to descending order or vice versa. The hit-list can be grouped by additional fields. Drag the column header back into the header row to undo the sorting.

  Group by box

An area is created above the hit-list where fields for grouping can be dragged and dropped to. Dragging index field column headers into this area has the same effect as selecting 'Group by this field'. Selecting 'Group by this field' checks this option automatically.

  Alignment

The strings in the selected column can be aligned left, right, or center.

  Wrap Text

Wrap long strings into multiple lines so they may fit within the hit-list column.

  Best Fit

The selected column is automatically re-sized to fit the longest string in this index data fields column.

  Best Fit All

All columns is automatically re-sized to fit the longest string in this index data fields column.

Right-clicking on objects in hit-lists also opens a context menu. For further details on hit-list context menus please refer to the following pages:

Reports Pane

A list of available reports is displayed. A right-click on a report opens a context menu with the following unique options:

Report Icon Create Ad-hoc Report

Creates an ad-hoc report from the selected report and displays the graphic in the hit-list pane.

Report Icon View Latest Report

Opens the latest automatically generated report in the Therefore™ Viewer.

Report Icon Show All Reports

Retrieves all saved reports and displays them as documents in the hit-list pane.

Selecting the Reports pane switches the ribbon menu to the Reports tab:

Tasks Pane

Double-clicking on one of the task lists in the Navigation pane displays all ad-hoc tasks on this list as items in the hit-list pane. There are three separate lists in the Tasks view:

Active Tasks Icon To Do

These are tasks that are assigned to the current user and are in progress.

Tasks Completed Icon Started

These are tasks that the current user has created.

Started Tasks Icon Done

These are tasks that were assigned to the current user and that they have completed.

By default, the following panes are not displayed. They can be set to be displayed by checking the respective checkboxes in the View tab of the top bar menu.

Additional Information Pane

This pane displays additional information for the currently selected object, such as the Document ID or the version number. Double-clicking on the preview thumbnail image will open the document in the Therefore™ Viewer.

It is possible to sum up decimal fields using this pane. Select the required documents in the hit-list and the sums for all decimal fields will be displayed in this information pane.

Case Documents Pane

This pane displays the documents contained within each case category. Right-clicking on an empty space allows a user to hide empty categories.

Checked out Documents Pane

This pane displays all the checked out documents in the repository. Double-clicking on the preview will open the document in the Therefore™ Viewer.

Search Dialog

Viewing this pane always displays the Search dialog for a category.
