TIFF Annotation Options
When right-clicking an annotation and selecting 'Properties' from the context menu, a settings dialog will open.
Annotation Properties
Several of the properties are shared between the different types of annotations. These are separated into tabs. See further below for properties specific to certain annotations.
Location
Left, Top, Right, Bottom
The coordinates for the four corners can be specified.
Fill
Filled (checkbox)
This toggles whether the text box is filled. When selected, clicking 'Change' enables a color to be specified.
Frame
Framed (checkbox)
This toggles whether the outline is displayed. When selected, clicking 'Change' enables a color to be specified, and a 'Frame Thickness' can be entered.
Transparency
Transparent(checkbox)
If a fill color is chosen this can be set to transparent.
Caption
A caption can be inserted and the background of the caption box configured.
Enabled(checkbox)
Enables or disables the caption.
Background(checkbox)
Adds a configurable background to the caption. The color can be changed and the background may be set to be transparent.
Text
Enter the text for the caption. Additionally the color and font of the text can be changed.
Caption Position
The caption position and display settings can be specified.
Location
Set which position relative to the file should the X and Y values use as anchor. And then edit these by adding an offset to their respective values.
Display
Set the text justification for both the X and Y axis and select the orientation for the caption.
Layer
The layer name can be specified.
Text and Highlight specific properties
Text
The text can be edited.
Text Options
Font
The font can be edited.
Justification
The justification can be changed.
Orientation
The orientation can be set.
Tabs
Tabs can be inserted, managed and removed.
Pencil specific properties
Points
A list of existing points is available on the left side of the dialog. Selecting one allows the user to edit its coordinates or delete it. Additional points may be added with the 'Insert Point' button.
Options
If the 'Closed' checkbox is ticked, a line will be drawn from the start to the end point.
Arrow specific properties
Shaft
The color and thickness of the shaft can be specified.
Head
The checkbox toggles the head on or off.
Style
Edit the style of the arrow head. Depending on the chosen style, the fill and frame colors can be set.
Solid
The arrow head is one color throughout.
Hollow
The arrow head is only an outline
Open
The arrow head is not closed at the back.
Framed
The arrow head consists of an outline and fill.
Tail
By default the tail is not active. It shares the same configuration options as the arrow head.
Rectangle and Ellipse specific properties
Frame
Framed(checkbox)
Toggles whether the rectangle or ellipse's frame is displayed.
Frame Color
The frame color can be selected.
Frame Thickness
The frame thickness can be selected.
Rounded Rectangle
The percentage height and width for the edges to be rounded can be selected.
Text Pop-up and Stamp specific properties
Image
Orientation
The orientation of the pop-up or stamp can be selected.
Change
Opens a browser window allowing the user to select a custom image (.bmp).
Mask
Pressing the 'Change' button opens a browser window allowing the user to select a custom mask (.bmp).
DropOut
Style
The style for the Dropout can be chosen.
Dropout Color
Depending on which style is chosen, the color can be defined.
