Adding Fields from a Referenced Table

Once a Referenced Table is defined, fields from this table can be added as index fields to a category. This tutorial will cover how to add both 'Primary Fields' and 'Dependent Fields'.

Adding fields from a reference table

  1. Open the category and right-click on the dialog. Select the 'New Primary Field' menu-item. This will display a sub-menu of Referenced Tables. Select the desired referenced table.

  2. This will open the field properties window. Set the caption name and other fields and click OK when the field is ready to be saved.

  3. Next, add a field by selecting 'New Dependent Field', the name of the primary field added in step 1 and 2, and then field you wish to add. A field properties window will appear, configure them and click OK when ready to save.

  4. Both the primary and dependent index fields should be visible on the category window.
