UI Panes

The UI consists of panes that can be moved, resized, minimized or removed.  These can be configured in the same way as for the Therefore™ Viewer.

Case Details

The Case Details pane shows the case, as well as the categories contained in the case with the number of documents in each category. Under Searches, any full-text searches carried out in the current session are shown.

Clicking on a category will display all the documents in that category in the hit-list. Clicking on a full-text search will display the results for the search.

File name
By default the file name is the document title as set in category settings. Can be changed to the user's choice.

File Format
The document can either be converted to another format or left as original. In addition, it is possible to export/send the whole Therefore™ document or just a link to the Therefore™ document.

Empty documents that only contain index data can only be exported as a Therefore™ document (.thex) or as a link to a Therefore™ document.

Compress output files (.zip)
The exported or sent files are compressed into a .zip file.

Do not include annotations
Annotations will not be included in the exported document

Sign with personal certificate
Before exporting, the user can select a personal certificate with which to sign the PDF.

Apply external timestamp
An external timestamp is applied to the signature before exporting. The external timestamp server is set and configured in the Advanced Settings of the Therefore™ Solution Designer. An external timestamp will ensure the time is not dependent on the current server settings which could be changed.

Note:

  • TIFF annotations are exported or sent if they are switched on in the Annotations tab. PDF annotations are always sent since these are embedded in the PDF.

  • Sending a link is the most secure method since the document will be retrieved from the Therefore™ server and only users with required permissions can view the document. A link is also better for e-mail transmission speed and network load.
