Generating QR Codes

The following tutorials will show you how Therefore™ can be used to generate QR codes and barcodes in the document creation workflow tasks.

The QR codes and barcodes can not be modified directly by Therefore™. However, Therefore™ can modify "Custom Document Properties" and these can be used as values for the QR code or barcode.

Preparing the template

Prepare the template by creating a custom document property and by creating a QR code that displays the custom document property.

Create a workflow that includes a document creation workflow task.

Specify the correct template to use.

Assign index data to the custom document property.

Supported Index Data Field Types

Set the conversion options to PDF.

  • Neither creation nor viewing of QR codes will currently work with Stellent

  • The GroupDocs Viewer has to be specifically selected to enable QR code generation and viewing

  • Viewing QR codes works with Therefore™ 2021 U2 and releases from Therefore™ 2022 on.
