Therefore™ Storage - Best Practices

All documents saved to Therefore™ are written to the 'Buffer' directory. To ensure the safety of your documents and prevent data loss, it is important to configure primary and backup storage as well as migration schedules to move documents from the buffer to the primary and backup storage devices. While setting up a Therefore™ system, the following steps are recommended:

• Configuring both Primary and Backup storage devices. These should be two different devices - ideally these devices should be stored in different physical locations.

Defining a Storage Device

• Configuring migration of documents from the buffer directory to these storage devices.

Creating a Migration Schedule

• Applying retention policies.
