Menu

The items displayed in the Therefore™ Console menu are dependent on the Therefore™ version and installed components. Below is a description of each of the options under their respective menu.

File

Start/Select Service
In the case where a single server is used, this can be used to start the Therefore™ Server Service. In an installation with multiple Therefore™ servers, this menu option can be used to select one of the other Therefore™ servers.

Start All Services
This will not only start the Therefore™ Server Service but also all dependent services.

Stop Service
The Therefore™ Server Service and all dependent services will be stopped.

Restart Tenant
Restarts the current tenant. This only applies to multi-tenant systems.

These three options will only affect services running on the local server. The Console must also be "Run as administrator".

Server Connection
Displays the server connection information.

Server Info
Displays an overview of the Therefore™ Server information including: the version, license information, current number of License 'Points' used and the state of each Therefore™ Service.

In a multi-server system the Database benchmark can be used to check if any servers are not performing properly.

Multi-Server Info
This can only be selected in Therefore™  installations with multiple Therefore™ servers. Connectivity from this Therefore™  Server to each other Therefore™  Server is checked. A Therefore™  Server Overview window shows the Therefore™ version, license information, current number of license points used and the state of each Therefore™  Service.

Clear Server Cache
Each Therefore™  Server 'caches' index and document information to maximize response speeds to Therefore™ Clients. This option manually clears the cache of all saved information. The server can be specified and the information type. Clicking OK clears the cache. In addition a specific Object ID can be entered which will then clear only objects of that ID.

View

Status Bar
When checked, the status bar along the bottom of the window is displayed.

Select which processes to monitor via the different windows available. See our reference for more information:
Window Views

Content Connector
This menu is available for installations with the Therefore™ Content Connector module.

Start Scheduler
Starts the Therefore™ Content Connector Service.

Run manually
The Therefore™ Content Connector processing sequence is started immediately (rather than waiting for the next scheduled time).

Stop
Any currently active Therefore™ Content Connector processing is stopped.

Statistics
The Therefore™ Content Connector Statistics (Logfile) dialog will be opened. This displays the status and results of all Therefore™ Content Connector processing sequences that have been run. The Administrator may filter the display based on date/time, Server and Category. The number of documents processed by each sequence is shown.

Manage Faulty
The Therefore™ Content Connector Manage Faulty dialog will be opened. This displays the status and results of the documents containing errors in the Therefore™ Content Connector. The administrator may filter the display based on the configured sources for document storage.

Copilot Connector

This menu is available for installations with the Therefore™ Copilot Connector. Select which connection to see the status off through the drop-down menu.

Uploaded documents
The number of documents currently stored in the selected Microsoft Graph connection.

Uploaded files
The number of files currently stored in the selected Microsoft Graph connection.

Uploaded items
The number of items that are currently stored in Microsoft Graph. Large files are split up into multiple parts and uploaded as items.

Pending updates
Number of changes in queue for synchronization with Microsoft Graph.

Error count
The number of queued items in error state.

Last action
The date of the last operation or attempt.

Full-text

Status
A status dialog is shown.  

Documents
Lists the number of indexed documents,

Streams
Lists the actual number of index files since a document can contain multiple files,

Queued Jobs
Lists the number of documents waiting to be indexed and

Error Jobs
Lists the number of documents which could not be indexed.  

Reindex Documents
Reindexes documents from selected categories, cases and folders.

Retry Error Jobs
Any error jobs will be placed in the queue for processing again.

Verify Index
This manually starts a consistency check on the index which compares the full-text index to the Therefore™ database. If any inconsistencies are found, then the record will be deleted or added the queue for indexing, as required.

Compact Index
This will manually launch the compacting process which reorganizes and compacts the index.

Rebuild Index
This should be used with caution as it will delete and rebuild the entire index.

Help

Help
The Therefore™  Help on-line manual system is launched. Help is context sensitive - pressing the F1 key when in a sub-menu window will display Help for that window or function.

About Therefore™  Console
A window box opens to display the Version and Build number of Therefore™  Console and the identity of the license holder.

About Therefore™  Server
Displays the Version and Build number of the Therefore™  Server and the identity of the license holder.

Therefore™  Update on the Web
Opens your Web browser to display information on new releases of Therefore™.
