Item Requirements

Therefore™ Server

  • Therefore™ Server must be version Therefore™ 2015 Update 2 or higher (Business or Enterprise editions*).

  • A valid license point for the Therefore™ connector must be active.

  • Therefore™ categories need to be configured for use with SAP NetWeaver.

Therefore™ Client

  • Microsoft .net Framework 4.0 or higher must be installed on the Therefore™ Clients

SAPGUI for Windows

  • SAPGUI for Windows version 4.6.x or higher must be installed on the SAP NetWeaver clients.

  • Therefore™ OLE client components for the connector must be installed on the SAP NetWeaver clients.

  • Microsoft .net Framework 2.0 or higher must be installed on the SAP NetWeaver clients

  • The SAP Connector for Microsoft .NET must be installed. It can be downloaded here:

SAP .Net Connector 3.1 for .NET 4.0 on x64

  • This package is not distributed by Therefore. It needs to be installed as a prerequisite in order for the connector to work.

*Some Therefore™ editions are region specific. Please see the Installation manual for details.

Licensing Requirements

All SAP end users who connect to the Therefore™ Server through the Therefore™ Connector for SAP NetWeaver require a Therefore™ end user license.

Supported SAP Solutions

SAP Solution Description
SAP Business Suite Supported by Therefore™ Connector. Certified by SAP.
SAP Business All-in-One Supported by Therefore™ Connector.
SAP Business One Not supported by Therefore™ Connector.

In general, all SAP systems that support ArchiveLink are compatible with the Therefore™ Connector.

Therefore™ Category configuration

All Therefore™ categories, enabled as SAP NetWeaver repositories, must have some additional index data fields. Make sure that these fields are added to the Therefore™ Categories used with SAP NetWeaver.

Note:

  • Barcode and Status ID are only needed if barcodes are used.

  • Status ID is required for SAP NetWeaver Connector Matching.
