Creating an eForm

Necessary Therefore™ applications:
  • Therefore™ eForms web interface

  • Therefore™ Solution Designer

  • Therefore™ Web Client / Therefore™ Navigator

eForms are forms users create and manage through the  Therefore™ Solution Designer and the Therefore™ Web Client.

Configuration in the web interface

  1. From the Therefore™ Solution Designer, access the context menu on the eForms node by right-clicking the node or a folder under the node and select 'New E-Form...'. This will open the eForms application on your web browser. Alternatively, there are several ways to create a new eForm directly in the web interface (for example, using the 'Create new eForm' button or via the folder context menu). While creating an eForm, the form type can be selected. The type 'Form' will be displayed to a user as a continuous page with fields to complete, and 'Wizard' will allow you to separate the content of the eForm through different pages.

  2. Once an eForm has been created, eForm components are displayed in a column on the left side of the screen. You may drag and drop components from the column on the left into the eForm's body in the middle. Each of these components can then be configured. For more information about these fields and their respective configuration options, please see our reference pages on eForms components.

  3. Once the design of the eForm is ready, the user can click 'Save eForm' on the Actions menu to save the eForm and allow it to be tested or opened in the Therefore™ Solution Designer. EForms can be previewed using the 'Preview' button on top of the screen.

  4. Select 'Test eForm' to enter test data into the eForm. Submitting test data will create a JSON submission that allows the user to match form fields to category index data fields for processing in the next step.

  1. Go to the Therefore™ Solution Designer, and find the newly created eForm under its respective node. Right-click on the eForm to access its context menu and select 'Configure Processing'.

  2. Select the category you wish to save the eForm results to, and then pair each category field with their respective field from the eForm. Press OK to save and the eForm is ready to be used. Each eForm submission is visible in Therefore™ clients, such as the Therefore™ Web Client or Therefore™ Navigator under the chosen category.
